Pool AttendantUnder supervision of the Aquatics Director or Pool Manager and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, The Pool Attendant is responsible for monitoring outdoor pool gate, verifying family memberships and ensuring guests have checked in at the front desk during outdoor pool hours, administers First Aid, maintains all safety and sanitation procedure's according to the policies of the Easton YMCA Aquatics Departments.Essential Functions:Greet all members and public with a smileControl members entering the outdoor pool gateKeep pool desk/area clean and clutter freeCommunicate with the front desk staffEnforces all of the facility's policies, rules and regulationsCompletes record and reports regarding patron attendance, swim testing, incidents and accidentsMaintains effective relationships with the members, participants and other staffParticipate in all staff meetings and in-service training'sConduct aquatic facility maintenance as assignedQualifications:At least 16 years of age.General clerical and computer skillsAbility to communicate with people of all levelsMust present a professional, mature image and have excellent interpersonal communication skills.CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire.Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.Ability to lift up to 30lbs & bend, stand, sit, walk, run for extended periods of time.Physical Demands:Walking, carrying, sitting, seeing, hearing, crouching, lifting (25 pounds), pushing, kneeling, standing and speakingMust be able to accomplish the following…Remaining alertSit for extended periodsCommunicate with others immediately when responding to an emergencyThink in abstract, solve problems, make quick decisionsHave adequate memory skills Act swiftly in an emergency
